Moving a safe takes specialist planning
Moving a safe is very different from moving ordinary furniture or equipment. Safes can weigh hundreds or even thousands of kilograms, and incorrect handling can cause serious damage to floors, walls, stairs and surrounding property.

Our team can plan and undertake removals from ground-floor properties, upper floors, basements and cellars, offices, retail premises, factories, banks and other commercial buildings. We also assess restricted access, narrow corridors and doorways, difficult staircases and locations where conventional methods aren’t possible.
When access through a building isn’t suitable, alternative lifting and extraction methods can be considered. Lifting safes through upper-floor windows and other challenging access points is one of our specialist services, subject to a full assessment and suitable lifting arrangements.

Some safes are simply too large or heavy to be transported using a conventional van. That’s not a problem.
For particularly heavy safes, vault doors and other security equipment, we can arrange suitable specialist transport and lifting equipment depending on the requirements of the job.
This may include appropriate lifting equipment, tail-lift vehicles, HIAB transport or other specialist machinery. Every difficult removal is assessed individually so that the safest and most practical method can be planned before work begins.

Safe removal from difficult locations
A safe doesn’t have to be conveniently positioned next to the front door for us to remove it. Some of the most challenging jobs involve safes situated in basements, cellars or upper floors where standard moving equipment cannot be used.
With the correct preparation, equipment and lifting methods, we can plan removals from difficult locations while protecting the building and surrounding areas.
For more complex jobs, we assess safe weight and dimensions, floor loading, staircases, doors and corridors, changes in floor level, external access, lifting points, vehicle access and suitable extraction routes. Where necessary, a site survey can be carried out before the removal takes place.
Upper-floor safe lifting & window removal
Sometimes the safest route out isn’t through the building. Where conventional access is unsuitable, we can plan specialist lifting through windows or other suitable external openings. The exact method depends on the safe, building, access and site conditions; each lift is assessed and planned accordingly.
